Sound Card or USB Gaming Headset?

I am considering getting: http://us.store.creative.com/Sound-Blaster-Arena-Surround-USB-Gaming/M/B002Q8AG7G.htm

While my card has no USB slot for this headset, it has been giving me trouble lately. I figure if I can get some of the same decent features out of a headset and free a PCI-E slot in the process, why not? What do you all think? Should I just stick to the sound card (and another mini-jack gaming headset) or switch to a USB Gaming Headset (with onboard sound processing?)

Got the sound card back up and running at full capacity again, not sure what the problem was but it works now. Things sound great along with a Razer Carcharias.
