early this morning i believe it asked a window for bf2 like auto join and i clicked the x

and now it wont read any disks when i insert disks nothing happens i go to drive c and nothin!

how do you re-enable auto join or fix the problem??

edit:i meant cd rom

Well, for a start, you should be putting disks into your CD/DVD ROM and not your hard drive..

Make sure the computer is switched on.

2 Days ago i burned 2 dvds, put back in bf2 dvd and nothing happened so... i restarted my laptop <___>

i restarted it twice and turned it off for like 2 hrs and still...

hit it, used to happen to me kicked it and it worked, when i changed the cdrw readerto a dvdrw reader if ound a piece of paper inside =O

the laser doesnt need charging. its connected by a ribbon to the drives motherboard.

We aren't laser welding, come on people, lol. Just get a new drive for $25. You could try taking it apart or updating the firmware, but in the end it'll be a waste of time.
